Assistive Technology Prescription
Assistive technology (AT) is any product, item, equipment, or software program that is used to increase, maintain, or improve the functional capacity of a person with a disability.
With a wide range of assistive technology options available, selecting the most appropriate equipment can be challenging. Occupational Therapists work closely with equipment suppliers in selecting, trialing and evaluating AT to ensure that it meets the unique needs of the client. At Unity OT, we have extensive experience in prescribing:
- Wheelchairs - such as manual, power assist and power drive
